What household products do I use?

Making the transition to natural products can be difficult, especially in the household cleaning products part. I was really glad I found Grove Collaborative through one of my favorite cruelty free vegan YouTubers Logical Harmony (aka Tashina Combs). Grove Collaborative is a website that delivers household, beauty, and health products that you choose on their site. All their stuff is natural, sustainably minded, affordable and environmentally friendly. I love how it's so much cheaper to buy from Grove Collaborative than if you were to go to the store. It's very convenient too because you can set an automatic renewal for them to redeliver stuff you know you'll run out of.

How much more easier can it get to live clean, sustainable lifestyles at an affordable price? So grateful for Grove Collaborative!

....no this is not sponsored or affiliated with them. These are my honest opinions.

  • Mrs.Meyer's Clean Day Tub and Tile Cleaner

    • This hardworking formula is specially formulated for cleaning porcelain, shower doors, tiles, toilet seats, countertops, sinks and tubs. Simply wipe away. (Grove Collaborative)
    • (+): The scent is nice and doesn't have that toxic smell to it. This spray works by foaming up. It works well if you use with a sponge but wiping away also does the job. It takes off the mightiest of stains and leaves no streaks.

    • (-): Price

    • Verdict: Yes. When dispersing the product, you didn't need much to do the job. I can see this lasting a long time. It's also simple to use and great for multiple surfaces.

  • Seventh Generation Extra Strong Tall Kitchen Drawstring Trash Bags

    • Gencore® 3-layer technology sandwiches recycled material between two layers of virgin plastic so these bags are tough and resistant to tearing. (Grove Collaborative)
    • (+): Wow this thing is durable, sturdy, and environmentally friendly. I was able to stuff a bunch of empty boxes in it and it didn't rip at all (I'm still unimpressed by how my Glad Febreze stretchy trash bags ripped).

    • (-):  Price

    • Verdict: If you can spend extra money then go for it. It was worth the price.

  • Natracare Curved Panty Liners and Super Maxi Pads

    • Natracare Night Time Maxi pads are thick and extra-long for confident protection, especially for when you are asleep. The soft, fluffy, absorbent core, made from totally chlorine free pulp, quickly absorbs the menstrual fluid and locks it away so that the soft, 100% organic cotton cover allows your skin to breathe whilst at the same time keeping you dry. (Grove Collaborative)
    • With Natracare panty liners, you only have certified organic 100% cotton next to your delicate skin. Natural, plant-based materials are breathable and soft to keep you comfortable and dry for everyday protection. Like all Natracare products, the liners are free from plastics, perfumes and chlorine, helping you to avoid synthetic materials and skin irritants which are present in so many other feminine hygiene products. Many gynaecologists have advised women with sensitive skin to use Natracare pads to reduce their contact with chlorine bleached materials, synthetic cloth, latex and superabsorbent polymers. Every year, billions of plastic laden pads and liners are disposed of by women. Most of these pads are made from over 90% crude oil plastic which goes on to pollute global environments forever. This plastic waste ends up in landfill sites and oceans, causing visual pollution, damaging marine life and ultimately the food chain. By choosing Natracare, you are saying no to crude oil plastics. (Grove Collaborative)
    • (+): Good for you, good for the environment, good product. Organic, absorbent, and there's that sense of security that you know you saved yourself from hand washing panties due to stains.

    • (-): Really? 12 pads for $5.25?! WTF.

    • Verdict: Ok, if you really were that much of an "organic, vegan, must live the sustainable lifestyle" person then these are great for you. That price though for pads. Not feelin it. I'd buy the panty liners again.
