For the past couple of months, I’ve been committed to limiting my waste. Here’s my low waste kit for the blushing babe on-the-go!

KOFFIE STRAW

Drink through our reusable KoffieStraw - Limit stains in the first place. It's a simple solution, and it works. Drinking from a straw allows the coffee (and tea, and juicing with things like tumeric) to bypass your front teeth and limit stains naturally. This PATENTED straw is a coffee lover's dream Oval shape fits To-Go coffee cups (fits coffee mugs too) BPA Free - won't melt toxins into your drink like plastic straws can Dishwasher safe and NON-STICK SILICONE IS SIMPLE TO CLEAN - brush included. Our silicone design allows you to bite on the straw as much as you want.

  • I found this straw to be my favorite during the holiday season when I feel the need to protect my teeth from all the coffee and lattes! The silicone is well made and such great quality.

  • It’s very comfortable in my teeth (great for people with sensitive teeth!) and I can bite the straw too without having to waste a single straw!!!

  • It’s so handy and comes with its own brush!

  • Perfect for hot drinks and cold drinks since it’s silicone, thus you’ll never have to feel burning from drinking through a metal straw!

  • Comes with TWO straws!!!

    (-)

  • I wish there was a pouch to hold it in.

  • The brush is really small and it’s useful since the KoffieStraw is thin but it’s not as durable as other brush straws.

    Verdict

    A MUST HAVE!!!

TO-GO WARE BAMBOO TRAVEL UTENSILS

Our RePEaT Reusable Bamboo Utensil Set rounds out your toolkit for a waste-free life on the go. Enjoy eating with utensils made of bamboo, a highly durable and sustainable resource. Keep a set in your bag, glove compartment, lunch box or desk, and see how many disposable utensils you can pass by. Includes a knife, fork, spoon and chopsticks (which double nicely as coffee stirrers). A handy carabiner allows you to clip and go. Our utensil sets not only save plastic waste from entering our landfills and oceans, they also have a holder made of RPET, a sturdy, washable material made of recycled plastic bottles. We like to call it "RePEaT" because it lets plastic waste reincarnate into something healthy, reusable and fun.

  • The bamboo is very good quality and lasts a long time without looking gross. I can leave it with food residue for a couple of hours and it didn’t stain the bamboo.

  • It’s very recyclable should you need to dispose of it.

  • It’s a good size. I found it bigger than expected, but still compact enough to take with you anywhere.

    (-)

  • None!

    (-)

  • The drawstring pouch needs some work. I actually lost the straw because the pouch wasn’t good at completely closing.

Tati, what about a water bottle?

In all honesty, I’m still looking for the best one. The one pictured was tested out by me and Mo. It’s not the best and it’s not really worth showing on this blog other than a photo. I want to show you the best of what’s worth investing in, but if you’re curious:

Klean Kanteen 18 oz Water Bottle

(+)

  • It’s practically zero waste because you can recycle the cap and the metal bottle.

  • Very durable

    (-)

  • It’s too damn small. Like, I’ve seen baby bottles bigger than this.

  • It’s so expensive.

  • The top of the bottle (not the lid) is so exposed and you’re drinking from that…what if you drop your water bottle…

    Verdict

    Thank you. Next.
